OPERA AL FRESCO
6:30 PM - 7:00 PM Saturday November 14, 2020
Free & open to all at Patio
Enjoy a dinner-hours serenade with a selection showcasing facets of the black experience in opera and classical music.
The first half of the evening is dedicated to George Gershwin, who spearheaded capturing the black experience through music. William Grant Still, Undine Smith Moore, and Richard Thompson are prolific classic composers that until now, have not had the platform to share their creative contributions. The second half of this program is an effort to support the normalizing of black classical music and making it accessible to new audiences. With Cassandra Douglas & Kyle Walker
This is a free event but we encourage those wishing to view the performance to make a reservation at the Breslin's outdoor dining space on Broadway via this link. This ensures a safe, socially-distanced view of the performance, and seated guests will be able to enjoy a cocktail or a snack whilst enjoying the art.
