Cassandra Douglas is an opera singer from Brooklyn, NY, who was raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She has performed nationally and internationally with opera companies and choirs. She recently sung at the Lyric Opera of Chicago performing in Champion. Ms. Douglas made her debut as a soloist with Vincerò Academy in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. She was invited as a soprano soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria with the Litha Symphony. She’s been a resident artist with The Opera Collective, Chelsea Opera, Amore Opera, The Opera Next Door, and Opera on Tap. She has sung Musetta in La Bohème, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Miss Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, & Evelyn (cover) in Fire Shut Up in My Bones.
